Just started to blog about Windows Mobile software or about Windows Mobile phones and don’t have any idea how to take screenshots from Windows Mobile powered phones? Trust me, it is absolutely no problem, since there are many screenshots taking applications available for Windows Mobile.
I always prefer free to use solutions if any available. And this is the same case. You can use the paid software called Resco Photo Viewer, which is Windows Mobile photo manager with screenshots taking feature. However there is a free solution available too – and for the most cases it is all you need.
The freeware software for taking the screenshots on Windows Mobile phone is Ilium Software Screen Capture. Just download the Windows desktop installer from its homepage, run it and install the the Screen Capture using the Active Sync process.
After the installation is done, you can start taking the screenshots on your Windows Mobile phone. Just run the application and then switch to another app or to the homepage. Whenever you will press the * key, the screenshot will be taken with the sound background. You will find the images taken in the \My Documents folder. The Screen Capture has a timer too, so you can use it for taking screenshots in some games for example.
The Screenshots Archive has a Windows Mobile section too. If you didn’t visited yet, check it here.
