Windows 7 is the successor of the Windows Vista operating system, developed by Microsoft. It brings some new features, like a new kernel, support for multi-touch displays, improved taskbar, Aero Peek, new Media Center, Windows Media Player 12, ribbons in several applications (Paint, Wordpad) as well as plenty of small, but useful improvements.
